"Lepidocide": how does the drug work and who does it destroy?
"Lepidocide" is an insecticide of biological origin, which contains a strain of bacteria that destroys caterpillar colonies. Instructions for use of "Lepidocide", dosage for different cases and safety measures are detailed below.
Who does the drug help to get rid of?
The product effectively destroys insect caterpillars:

Comparison of "Lepidocide" with them shows that these are drugs of a similar purpose and approximately the same level of effectiveness. However, "Bicol" and "Bitoxibacillin" also destroy ticks, therefore they belong to the class of insectoacaricides.
The "Lepidocide" itself is intended only for the destruction of caterpillars of various pests - butterflies, moth moths. Therefore, to combat large colonies of various insects (for example, aphids, Colorado potato beetle, etc.), it is recommended to use drugs of a broader action - Fitoverm, Armin, Voliam Flexy other.
Instructions for using the drug
The drug is available in the form of a powder, which must first be diluted in water in accordance with the required dosage. It is also available as a liquid suspension (100 ml bottle).
The sequence of actions is as follows:
- The required mass of powder is measured.
- Dissolve it first in a small volume of water (temperature no more than 20aboutFROM).
- Stir and make up to volume with water.
- The green part of the plants is sprayed, after wearing special clothing, gloves and other protective equipment.
The only exception is potatoes. The plant is not sprayed, but its tubers are immersed in a solution of 1% concentration for 1–2 hours. This should be done immediately before sending the potatoes for storage.

For potatoes, take the same concentration of the solution: 35–70 ml of the product per 3 liters of water. Consumption for 10 kg of tubers - 6 ml of concentrate.
The volume must be calculated so that the entire solution is consumed in 1 day. The diluted powder should not be stored for more than 12 hours.
Security measures
To protect yourself from getting the solution on the skin and other organs, it is necessary to carry out the treatment with gloves, a mask, glasses and disposable clothing, which can then be washed or thrown away.
In the event of unforeseen events, you must act in accordance with the instructions:
- In case of contact with the hand, wash it thoroughly with water and detergent.
- If drops get into eyes, rinse under running water for 5 minutes.
- If the solution gets into the stomach, drink 4-5 tablets of activated carbon. Symptoms of poisoning in this case should not occur, since the drug is low-hazard. However, if alarming symptoms (signs of poisoning, an allergic reaction, cramps in the eyes) appear, the victim should consult a doctor as soon as possible.
The treatment should not be carried out by pregnant and lactating women, allergy sufferers and people with chronic diseases of internal organs (stomach, intestines, lungs), as well as eyes.
Store the drug at room temperature (at least +5aboutC) away from food, medicine, sunlight. Access of children, pets is excluded. The used container is thoroughly rinsed using household detergents. It is strictly not allowed to use it for food and feed.
What could go wrong?
To achieve maximum results in a short time, you should adhere to these recommendations:
- Plants can be processed at almost any temperature. However, if it is rather cold outside (during the day below +17aboutC), the minimum dosage of the drug is used, which is prescribed in the table. If the temperature is high (more than +24aboutC), the maximum volume applies.
- In windy and rainy weather, processing is excluded - the efficiency in such conditions is sharply reduced.
- It is best to spray the plants in the morning and evening to prevent direct sunlight from hitting the foliage during treatment.
- In case of precipitation in the first 2 days from the moment of spraying, the procedure is repeated again, following the same instructions.
"Lepidocide" has established itself as a fairly effective and safe agent that is non-toxic to humans, animals, bees, fish and safe for the plants themselves.
